Best States Ranking 2018
The U.S.News & World Report Best States Data Explorer holds thousands of data points used to determine state rankings across eight categories: health care, education, economy, opportunity, infrastructure, crime & corrections, fiscal stability and quality of life. Within each of these areas there are several benchmarks – 77 metrics in all – which contributed to the state rankings. You can view existing charts or build your own by location, creating a full portrait of any state, or by one of the many metrics which power comparisons, state-to-state, across the several categories.
