The focus of these most recent issues is helmet use among Nevada pedalcyclists. Pedalcyclists are defined as bicyclists and other cyclists including riders of two-wheel, nonmotorized vehicles, tricycles, and unicycles powered solely by pedals. These publications provide insight into what happens to pedalcyclists involved in a crash and admitted to a Nevada trauma center: Who is getting injured most? What other specific behaviors do we see? What are the hospital outcomes for pedalcycle crash patients, and do outcomes differ based on helmet use? Follow the links to find out the answers to these questions: TREND 7.3 and Infographic 1.3.
